help - where can we take a day trip?

help - where can we take a day trip?
we were supposed to go to lake george this weekend, but it looks like DH has to work on saturday
He's really disappointed, so I was hoping we could get up early tomorrow and do something with the day, what can we do? I was thinking a day trip upstate or something
Any suggestions?

maybe we could spend the day and night in port jeff? Is there anything to do there?

How about the wineries? You can stop at Port Jeff on your way home for dinner .... (?)Or you could go to the Hamptons??

Spending a day at the Hamptons or out in Montauk is always really nice.
