Whats it about? I am getting married there as well- maybe I will check into it! I know the people who run it-- I had their daughter (and I think this year the son) in my class. I would like to get precana over with so maybe I will see if I can get into this group with you guys!

Bluetank-- I am using the same priest!

Do either of you know if you can have FOUR readers instead of THREE?

Deacon Barone told us that a typical ceremony has two readers and that a typical mass has three. We are only having a ceremony, but will have three readers.

I was told by Deacon Barone (who is marrying us) that it is our ceremony and we can pretty much do whatever we want.

Call the rectory, it would be great if you got this "out of the way" now. (I don't mean to sound negative.) Let me know if you'll be there!

We are only having a ceremony as well. Father Todd told us there are two readers, old testament and new, and that we can also have someone read the petitions... I would like to know if I can split the petitions and have two people read them... I've seen it before so I'm hoping we can!!

I will definetly check into getting into Precana early. What exactly is the meeting about? I will try to talk to the people who run it first- if not maybe I will try the rectory :)

Re: Is anyone else going to the Sept. 20 Pre-Cana meeting at St. Kilian?

The first meeting is a "planning meeting" we were told in a letter to bring our calendars and that we would be scheduling the three nights for the in-home visits there.

Then there is a substance abuse/NFP (Natural Family Planning - UGH!) meeting, but I don't remember the date of that. The last thing is a mass on Sunday, 11/14 at 5:30pm.

I hope you can get in. We got the first letter a month ago and had to RSVP and send the check then. Good luck!
