My FH has TOO MANY good guy friends!

... not that it's a bad thing.

But here's the problem: We're making up a list for the bridal party.

I have 3 bridesmaids (girl's I've been friends with since HS).
He has about 5-6!!! guys that he wants to include in the bridal party (HS, college, and medschool friends).

Do I need to force him to choose 3 or is there a way to incorporate all 5 guys somehow?

To make matters worse, I have a 19 year old brother so FH thinks it's a nice gesture to include him in the bridal party as well.

What do we do??????

If they are special to you just include them all! The BP does not have to be even!!!

i agree with julz...the bridal party should include all of the people who are especially special to each of you! so they should all be included.....does not have to be even!

FH has 8!!!!! He grew up with them for 30 years - I cant deny him having all those guys. I have 7 girls. It doesnt matter that its uneven.

The BP doesnt have to be even, just include the most important people between the two of you. You can have 3 girls and 6 guys and each girl will walk with 2 guys. That actually looks really nice.

My FI has like 5 billion friends and I have none. I have 6 BM's and he has 9 GM. I don't care. They are all close to him and it is one of the most important things to him. I have to let him have at least one thing

we have 9 guys and 5 girls.
For the ceremony, the groomsmen will be lined up at the alter and the girls are walking down the aisle by themselves. At the recetion hall we matched the girls up with a single guy and a guy who is either engaged, married or dating someone so that everyone has a partner to dance with during the introduction/dance at the reception

Our wedding party is uneven as well- 7 BMs and 5GMs..

Two guys can always walk down with one girl-- I had two GM's when I was a MOH in my friends wedding.

my FH has 8 guys - i only hav 6 girls and two are MOH

so we are doing this... when they walk down the aisle

and then when its time for the bridal party to dance at the wedding - we are going to have them dance with their significant others and not their bridal party partner since they all have one

Def include them all! Double them up w/ your girls.

I have the same 'problem' w/ FH. He wanted to have 3 best men!!! I told him he couldn't, it would be like a circus!!!

I have 2 girls and FH has 6 guys. He narrowed that down from 15!!

At first I was all upset about it, but in the end I really don't think it matters and I didn't want to deprive him of his friends on his day.

Here's how our processional will go:

GM & my Grandmom
GM & FH's mom
GM & my mom
GM & Bridesmaid
GM & MOH
RB
Me & my dad

My sister/MOH has MS and sometimes can't walk as well as regular people, so she is more comfortable having someone to walk with. If she didn't I would have had two GMs with the Bridesmaid.

I totally agree. It does not have to be even, and if they are important to him they should be included... My BP was uneven and I have been in may that were also uneven...

We're having 8 guys and 5 girls, plus us. Much bigger bridal party than I wanted, but that's just the way it worked out (and that's with FH NOT having two of his brothers in the wedding party!). I don't care about it being uneven; the girls are walking down the aisle by themselves, and I'm not making the bridal party dance together at the reception. So there's no issue about trying to match everybody up.

my FH dosen't have enough I have 8 BM's and he has only 5 groomsmen - i am having my two married BM's walk down alone and 1 will double up - it will all work out - it's better to be uneven then asking people you really are not close with just to ask JMO Good Luck!

We're doing the same thing - my FI has six guy friends he grew up with, and he had to have them all, and his brother, but I have my three closest girl friends, and my sister. So, my sis is my MOH, his brother is the BM, and the groomsman to bridesmaid ratio is 2:1. Those odds - the girls like!
