Deposits for vendors
Can anybody tell me which vendors require deposits and how much/what percentage on average is required? (Excluding the catering hall...I've got that one down
) I'm just trying to figure out how much money we will actually need to have on hand and when we'll need to have it by when we start to book vendors. Also do they let you put deposits on credit cards? Thanks ladies.

Re: Deposits for vendors
My florist, photographer, DJ, gown (1/2 of the dress), BM's dress and Limos all had deposites needed. All of mine you could use a credit card.Aside from my dress, most of our venders we put 300-600 deposites down

For my dress I needed 50%
photo/video 20%
florist 20% ( i think)
limos 20%
eta. Yes most do accept credit cards. But most are willing to 'waive' the tax if you pay cash. Not that easy but in the end will save you $$$$

Re: Deposits for vendors
I would negotiate and try to put down as little as possible. It depends upon what package you are getting. If you are getting a basic package from any of them but there deposit is usually several hundred dollars try to renegotiate that. And yes, credit cards are better in the long run because just in case something happens and you want to dispute payment you can with the cc company.
