Other Table # Ideas

Anyone not using the standard table numbers that the hall provides? I got some 4x6 frames that match our color scheme but wondering if it will be to big on the table...

Well, it all depends on how big the table is and how many guest u are inviting

I had some made, here is a proof of it...
ETA: it's 4x6 and I bought frames for it.

I had my wedding at a winery and we named each table after a type of wine. I think 4x6 will be a fine size. We printed ours out on white paper then glued it to red cardstock then put them into like sign picture holders. Its hard to describe, but they looked great.

I plan on naming my tables after towns on the east end of LI. South Hampton, Shelter Island, Greenport etc...

On the table where the place cards are, I am going to frame a pretty map of Long Island.

I am planning on visiting each town I have a table named after and am going to take a picture of me and my FH in front of the 'Welcome to XXX' sign. and use those on the actual tables.

We'll see how it goes, I may scrap the pictures with the welcome signs, but I do have over a year to get it all done, so I should be able to!

i had a couple of ideas BUT... everyone told me not to because then tehre is no order to the tables and you have to go searching for them

i then remembered i was at a wedding not too long ago that did something similiar and everyone was biatching that where the **** is my table!
so i think i am going to stick to numbers

We are naming each table for a place we have visited- Amsterdam, Hilton Head, Las Vegas, New York-etc. I don't know how I am putting them on the tables yet though. I like the picture idea. I could put a picture from each trip scanned onto the paper maybe...

We are doing practically the same thing for cities/countries! We have travelled a lot and have pictures of us in front of various landmarks, like the Golden Gate Bridge, Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, etc. My FH is actually printing the pictures in black and white on this cool looking paper for the tables.

We were also thinking of using the city names from each of the countries that our families are from but I think it would get too confusing, maybe if we had less tables...
