Question about church readings!

The priest who is marrying us said that we could have 3 readers- one for the old testament, one for the new testament and the intentions. I've seen the intentions split up so that two people can read them... does anyone know how often this is done, or if it can be? We are getting married at St. Kilians in Farmingdale. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Question about church readings!

I am having the intentions split between two people (friends of ours). Our church had no problem with it. We didn't want a big bridal party, so we're incorporating people this way. I think each person will have 4 or 5 to read.

Re: Question about church readings!

You could ask, I'm sure they'll let you do that. They let split the readings between two people sometimes. There is no harm in asking!

Re: Question about church readings!

Thanks... I guess I will try to call and see what they say! :)

One of my FSIL (getting married in Dec) asked me last night to do a reading... we already asked two of my cousins... but I have another FSIL as well that we don't want to leave out. We figured if they could say the intentions together that would be cool :)
