Hotel in Suffolk county for pre and post-wedding festivities?

hi everyone,

i am stuck - i am looking for a nice hotel that is reasonably close to the vanderbilt mansion (oakdale), where the families can stay and where we can hang out after the wedding. nassau county has such nice, classy ones (garden city hotel, harrison house, roslyn claremont) and i feel like there are NONE in suffolk!

does anyone have any ideas?

thanks in advance...

Our guests are staying in the Courtyard Marriot in Ronkonkoma. It is relatively new and pretty. It has a nice lounge for the guests to hang out.

I did a full on search, I mean considered every hotel with the exception of the those in Hamptons, and went with Danford's in Port Jefferson. Its only 20-30 minutes away from the Vanderbilt. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hampton Inn - Commack, NY

I think there are two other hotels right off the LIE. One on service rd from exit g1 and one on service rd from exit 63.

Also, how about B & B's?

Mine too. Good rates. There is also a Marriott on the North Service Rd. just a little further west.

Re: Hotel in Suffolk county for pre and post-wedding festivities?

I'm getting married in Oakdale and I have over 100 guests staying at the Wyndham Wind watch, it's a very nice hotel, and a beautiful golf course next door. It's about 15 minutes from Oakdale.
