Does/has anyone gone back to school just to take one class they always wanted to take?
I've always thought of it..but I was so eager to get out of school when I was 22 that I never could bring myself to go back.. but then I saw all the cool classes at NYU and School of Visual Arts on a flyer that I would consider it in a year or two.

i say go for it!!!think of how much fun you would allow yourself to have if you take a class....just because....none of the pressure, just doing something you want to!
i'm taking classes now that i'm a teacher so that i can get extra credits and make more money...but once that's done, i would love to take classes that interest me!

Quark = An EVIL program

Anyways... After 8 years from graduating college and hating it... I am finally going back to school to get my computer network MCSE certification. The training I needed was for a network upgrade for my job, they are paying for everything. I am just taking the exams to get certified for shyts and grins.
Actually getting certified is also an 'emergency' plan for me to have in case I ever get laid off. The IT market is tough and I want every edge I can get.

I was eyeing the Westchester Community College catelog, but I'd have to wait untill the spring semeter because of the wedding & hoenymoon. Ialso don't know if I could make it there in time after work in NYC.I want to take something really creative & hands on, unlike the boring English classes I took at Fordham.

LOL... nowadays thats all you really need to know anyways.
Gotta be careful on what you can say (or even better what you CAN'T).

Last summer I took a continuing ed class- acrylic painting. I was a little disappointed becuase it was supposed to be for beginners but it was taught like a more advanced class. But I am still glad I did it.

I had to go back for some undergrad classes to get certified for teaching, so I took Creative Writing bc it sounded interesting. IT turned out to be my all-time favorite class I've ever taken! School is so different when you WANT to be there!

You should consider taking the 'Teach me Italian' audio tapes from the library. I just did this (I'm leaving for Italy on Thurs.) and they're amazing! I want to take Italian at SCC too! I'm obsessed!
