Hotel suggestions near my hall?
Hi everyone, I have some people interested in spending the night in Long Island near the Floral Terrace the night of my wedding.
Any hotel suggestions?
TIA

One of the hotels near LaGuardia might actually be closer to FT than the others in Nassau I am thinking of, especially if they will have their own cars and can get on the parkway.

ultimately thats what I would have to do, but I am looking for advice here from people who are familiar with the area or even hotels themselves
ETA- I will try the Windgate Inn- thanks

Re: Hotel suggestions near my hall?
I know there is Floral Park Motor Lodge on Jericho Tpke. It is like 5-6 blocks from your hall. Its not the nicest place in the world but its a place to stay thats really close. I think some of my guests are staying there b/c my parents live in Floral Park.

Re: Hotel suggestions near my hall?
Not sure where Floral Terrace is.. but if it is near the GC hotel..
We are getting married at the Carltun-- closest hotel is the Wingate on Stewart Ave-- that is where we are staying, out of town guests as well as wedding party as we all live in the city and need to crah out on LI for the weekend..
The rooms are HUGE, 900 sq. feet-- esp the bridal suite- it is like the siaze of my Manhattan apt.. with a huge bathroom- which is great for hair and make-up.. Other guest rooms are also large- apprx. 300 sq feet.
The people that work there are kinda dumb- but with enough coaching- you'll get your room blocking contract together.. We are also doing brunch there the day after the wedding for anyone who will be staying there.
There is also a Hilton Garden Inn- we went to look at the rooms- then they never had anyone follow up with me re; my questions after they told me they would. I figured if service is that bad, I won't give them the business-

Just wanted to say hi to a Carltun bride. I think I'm the only Carltun bride writing on these boards. How are plans going?
