too young to be a flower girl?
Fh and I would like his cousin's daughter to be one of three flower girls in the wedding. The other two flower girls will be 6 and 7. This little one will be 3 years by the time we get married. My family thinks we are asking for trouble if we have her participate. We were thinking all the flower girls would hold hands and walk down together, but they think the little one will cry, or run away or something else to interrupt the 'flow' of things because she is too you. Any one in similar situation? All suggestions/ comments are appreciated! Thanks!

Re: too young to be a flower girl?
My FG is 3yo and we have been saying to her that she is going to be a pricess that day and that she will be walking with her cousin (my future step-daughter) down the aisle. I also told her that when she gets there someone will have a very special lollipop for her. It seems to be working, she tells everyone she is walking down the aisle as a princess.

Re: too young to be a flower girl?
I don't have flower girls but I have heard that sometimes it's more a problem to have really small children in the bridal party. If you think she'll be ok then go for it!!

Re: too young to be a flower girl?
My Flowergirl was 10 months LOL. Her mother who was a BM in the wedding carried her down. It was the cutest thing EVER! My Brother walked with the Bridesmaid and held my nephews (RB) hand he is a year and a half. My JR. Bridesmaid walked down holding Mikes nephew (RB) hand he is 2. It was cute. I say let them all hold hands and I think it's CUTE. Don't worry about it. If they cry it will be funnier and even cuter!

Re: too young to be a flower girl?
My flower girl was 2 1/2! And I thought the worst. She is not a good girl!, but too cute! I had her walk down the aisle with her brother, the ring bearer and my husbands nephew. All three of them were suprisingly very well behaved! Even at the reception, they all bonded and had a great time! We have the cutest pictures of them all together!I say go for it, if you really want her in the wedding. You can't tell the future! She may cry or she may be an angel!

Those are beautiful pics! Thanks ladies for your thoughts. I personally don't mind if the flower girl cries or skips down the aisle, as long as shes there!

Re: too young to be a flower girl?
My FG will be 4 the day before our wedding. Honestly I don't crae if she makes all the way down the aisle or not. She is too cute and people will understand that she is young. You should check with your church though (if you are getting married in one), some have strict age requirements for FG and RB.

I have 3 FGs- 2 seven and 1 3yr old. I plan to have all walk down the aisle together but it could change at any point, but all 3 of them will be in afterward pics, she's just too cute not to try to include and besides she is one of my two nieces, other is my goddaughter.

I am having my three nephews all walk down together as our ring bearers. They are 9, 4, and 1 - I think if they hold hands it will be fine!

Re: too young to be a flower girl?
my niece will be 20 months at my wedding, and to solve the issue of walking down the aisle, my junior bm will hold both her and the rb's hands
