losing weight and the wedding dress
how much can they alter the dress to fit if you lose say 20 lbs or more

It depends on the dress!! If it is a gown with a lot of detail that can't be moved around than I would think not much.

It also depends on where you lose the weight. If you are wearing a ballgown and lose the weight in your thighs/hips it might not make much of a differenceThis is what I am hoping to do

It really depends on the dress. Be careful because if you go for your first fitting and THEN lose 20 lbs then they'll charge you an arm and a leg because that's a significant decrease.
