2 Months to Go & My Engagement Shoot was Awesome!

These past few days have been so exciting that I just had to share!

My wedding is exactly 2 Months away! Where did the time go!?

Yesterday we had our (long overdue) engagement shoot with Lia from Imagine Studios. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! Much more fun that FH and I thought it would be!

First, we took a few pictures outside a very special coffee house. It's special to us for two reasons, 1) we had our 1st date there, but even more so because, 2) before we started dating we only saw each other occassionally at shows and said 'hi.' (We both had secret crushes on each other.) One night, my FH and I both happened to be at the coffee house at the same time with friends. We did the whole 'sneak peeks at each other' thing without the other person noticing. When my friend and I left, I waved goodbye to him (a great accomplishment on my part, I was extremely shy). He told his friends 'That girl will be mine,' and they laughed at him! Boy, was he right!

Anyway, after the coffee house, we went to Jones Beach. We took pictures on the dunes (shhhh!), well, until we were shooed away by the beach patrol people, and by the water. At the end of the shoot, Lia had us play in the water - we had an absolute ball! Laughing and smiling the whole time! I can't wait to see the pictures!!

Yea! 2 months from today....I'm at 3!!!

Sounds like you had a great time. I can't wait to take my engagement pics....next month!

was it at The Cup in Wantagh?

My FH and I always go there and it was our the place of many of our first dates too!

Hi Rachel!

Another Cup lover! I didn't realize there were so many of us!

Have Fun at your fitting tomorrow! (Say hi to Karin for me!) My next appt. is 8/7. I'm still torn between which slip to use (I know which one is your favorite!) Karin said I can try them on again on the 7th, but I need to make my decision soon after that. (I hate decisions!)

Our engagement proofs should be ready in 4-5 weeks, I'll be sure to share some of our favorites!

did they let you inside the cup for the photos or you just took them outside the place?

alexlynn7 - You guys are going to have such a terrific time with Lia! She is so nice and made us feel so at ease! (Not to mention, her work is gorgeous!)

thanksgivingbride - We really wanted to take pics inside but our photo shoot was at 10am, and they only open at 6pm. But, they did give us permission to take pics there during business hours. So, if you want to have some photos taken there, just talk to them, and make sure you schedule it when they're open. (And be sure to show me your pics, although I will probably be jealous! )

Another Cup fan here too, I grew up in wantagh. FH and I were just there 2 weeks ago, I love their coffee and desserts, yummy.
