Grossest thing that's ever happened at a Restaurant

I have so many Restaurant Horror Stories. I don't even know where to begin.

1. I got a bloody bandaid in the middle of my meal.

2. DH got rocks in his food. When he told the waitress, she said, 'Oh yeah, rocks ... we always have rocks in our food bc it's organic' and walked away!

3. BUGS! And tons of them ... in Chinese food.

So many other gross things. Makes me never even want to eat out again. Sorry, I know it's lunch time. But do these things happen to anyone else?

roaches, yuck... I left right away and then found a bathroom so I could puke.

One of the worst things is a filthy bathroom... I can't stand that at a restaurant.

Bugs in the Chinese food???? YUK!!!

The grossest thing was when I went to a diner and there was a hot pink Lee press-on nail on the bottom of my glass of OJ.

And once I got quesadillas and I was picking at them and a CLUMP of hair was in the cheese. I told a manager and she goes 'It is what it is'

Oh I'm gonna puke. Hair is the worst. I got a clump of hair in my yogurt when I was a little girl and haven't been able to eat it since. All of the fruit was connected with wads of hair. Gak! Oh, and my friend had a window seat at a thai restaurant, looked at the window sill next to her, and there were a family of maggots there! OMG, I'm getting myself sick. Why did I start this thread?

College date.. we go to a diner.. casual conversation.. i'm having fun.. first date..

and I am start to think... should I make a move.. or not.. i'm debating in my mind..

right then and there.. from plant over my head, a cockroach falls out of the pot. I just grossed out. (BTW.. I didn't make a move)
i didn't know if it was a good idea and that just sealed it!

LOL, that was pretty much me. DH and I were trying to remember which restaurant it happened in today and for the life of us, we couldn't. We think we repressed it because of the horrible memory!

I don't doubt that...But something like that you need to keep in mind for future reference...Was it in your food? On the table?

A friend of mine was eating Taco Bell and after he bit into the taco, he saw HALF of a roach......gulp, and then a few hours later, he found something in his tooth, so he got it out and it was the bug shell...so he kept it and sent it to Taco Bell with a little note.....they gave him coupons

I don't doubt that...But something like that you need to keep in mind for future reference...Was it in your food? On the table?

In the food, after I'd eaten half of it...

I almost became anorexic after that.

All I remember is that we were on vacation. I am determined to remember. I just know it wasn't on LI. It was 5 years ago.

Yup! we loved it too. Rocks isn't that gross I guess. But her answer to it was hysterical. 'Oh, Rocks ... yes. The food is all organic...'

That was funnier than gross. But yeah, ooo..you live near Bay Terrace? Our all time fav pizza place is in Bay Terrace. Crispy Crust ... why can't i remember the name?

I used to rent at Willets Point Blvd at the corner of Clintonville, so we know lots about the restaurants in that area.

this isn't as bad as everyone elses horror stories, but i once got an earwig in my salad. it was pretty gross. but you guys take the cake!!!

yeah my friend found a clump of hair at the bottom of her salad, she went to the bathroom right away and puked... she hasnt been able to touch greek salad since then...

I've waitressed a lot in the past, but luckily I've only seen one gross thing.

When I was waitressing at the Outback, I went to check on this guy to see how his food was. As I'm walking up to the table, he's blowing his nose. So I go, 'is everything ok?', and when he puts the handkerchief down to answer me, he had boogers all in his moustache!!! I almost puked!
