Baby fever... yikes

I have such baby fever lately, and find myself focusing on everything baby, instead of wedding. Is this normal?

Re: Baby fever... yikes

I don't have baby fever myself, but everyone else seems to! At my FH's office, four babies arrived in one WEEK. I thinkit's pretty cool- they are so happy!

Re: Baby fever... yikes

Honestly - around the time we got engaged and a little while after that I really did have baby fever. Originally we had decided to think about trying to start a family a couple years after we got married but now we're leaning towards starting maybe a year after we're married. Knowing this I have to admit that the fever has calmed down a little and I'm now focusing more on the wedding. I think it's adorable that you're thinking of it.

Re: Baby fever... yikes

We plan on TTC right away, maybe that's why. Planning for a baby seems so much more exciting to me, I guess because it is an ongoing job as opposed to a wedding in which the planning ends that day. 337 days to go and hopefully! or

Re: Baby fever... yikes

My FH has baby fever!!!! It's insane. When we see a baby, he looks at me with this silly grin and starts whispering 'I want one of those with you!' and touching my belly. He is 32 and ready. I am 25 and not ready.

We have agreed to wait 3 years from the time we are married...but he still gets all puppy dog eyes on me whenever it comes up. The man has a womb, I swear! I told him I am going to get him a puppy and we are going to name it 'baby.' He likes that, and it may hold him off for awhile.

OMG, that is so adorable. FH and I are both 32 have known each other 17 years, dated 6 and living together 3 so we've had our couple time. I wasn't thinking baby when I was 25 either. Good luck with your 'baby', I'm sure FH will love taking care of it.

I want a baby too. My fiance has 12 brothers and sisters and now the youngest is not a baby anymore and I miss having a baby around when I go over there. Sick as it sounds!

Re: Baby fever... yikes

tinker- we are date twins! I'm glad it's socially acceptable these days to wait. In the south and midwest, alot of 25 year olds have few popped out already.

I want to wait until I am 32, but he freeks, cause he'll be forty and he's scared he'll be too old to really play baseball and stuff with them. (He is picturing all boys already - yikes!)

Good luck with planning!

Re: Baby fever... yikes

I would love to move out, away from the city before we have a baby... this city is too stressful... also, I am scared because last year we have been in a car accident and since then I live with back and shoulder pain constantly blah, life sucks sometimes lol

I just found out the other day my boss' wife is having a baby... she is 31 I think but he is over 50... I do wish them luck but somehow I dont see him as a father (he forgets everything, we were talking the other day that he will most likely lose the baby)

Hooray for us 6-11 girls
I haven't booked any vendors yet. Did you check out websites for house rentals?

That is so funny my FH has visions of girls only, won't even hear about boy names. He wants daddy's little girl to be the first Formula 1 race car driver. Men, huh go figure

Re: Baby fever... yikes

That is so funny because I have major baby fever. My boss just had her fourth baby this week (I am the godmother) and holding him and playing with along with seeing how complete their family is makes me want to have one. We are also planning to have kids right away. I also find myself lurking onto the ttc and parenting boards lately.

I have one of those at home too!!! Its scary when you have to worry more about birth control than your FH!

Re: Baby fever... yikes

tinker: I am not very far along in booking vendors. I do alot of fantasizing and research and absolutely no buttwork yet. I feel trapped in Brooklyn with no car. Can I borrow yours? :)

OH! we're you the advice giver with cyberrentals.com? Nice going. THere were tons of listings and I got a great idea on rates ($2,000 for a big house with pool that sleeps 6-8 for a week is not too bad!)

Gotta get a jump on that plannin'?! What's holding you up?

Ladies, keep up the good birth controllin'. I don't know what I would do without the NuvaRing. (I was not so good at taking that dang little pill everyday.)

Ladies who want the babies: Hump away! (Is that inappropriate to say? I meant it in a 'it's friday night and i'm a little tipsy' kind of way.)
