Um... how come the Yankee fans are soooo quiet?

Somebody remind me ---

Didn't a bunch of Yankee fans trash the Mets last week???

Where are those beloved Yankee fans now?

I'm missing them right now....

Well, they can be happy to beat up on the Tigers tonight. (Probably, you never know.)

But the Yanks sure as HELL aren't beating up on the Mets!!!!! No, sorry.

'Gordon in the wind-up.. the pitch to Wigginton.. hit in the air deep to left field.. Matsui going back.... looking up.. and that ball is outta here!!!'

I didn't get to see any of the games down in Florida, but all I can say is this: It doesn't matter that the Mets swept us. They still bite and we're still in first place

and we beat the Yankee butts with our weaker pitchers... the Yanks lied down like dogs

and the marlins bite too.. I guess all us biters just know how to kick some Yankee A$$.

That's okay, don't worry about it.

Thing is, I've never had a problem with Mets fans in my life, until I moved to Long Island, and joined Long Island weddings.

Never said anything against them, would take the occasional dig at them when dealing with my friend Matt, but that was it.

Now, I dread coming online after the Yankees lose.

You know, I never pay attention to when the Mets win or lose (unless they're playing the Yankees)? I guess I just have better things to worry about....

I know you are excited about your win, OctGroom ... but really, 4 THREADS about various topics related to the METS win?

Hey I guess I shouldn't blame ya .... hasn't ever happened that the METS fans get the bragging rights after a subway series.. until now, unfortunately .. (the ONE Stinkin' Year I make a BET with a METS fan, no less!! )

maybe I did go a lil overboard..
i'll grant that......

but for us.. we've never really had such an awesome opportunity like this to say that we took the Yanks.. that shows you how good the Yanks are. A lot of folks don't want to give the Mets any credit.. and that s*cks because a lot of times, Met fans will give the Yanks credit and receive no respect in return.

I remember being at Game 1 of the 95 Wildcard Game in '95 against the Mariners.
I said to a friend of a frend there that I liked the Mets and I was greeted with. 'F--- the Mets'. That was kinda uncalled for.

So a day like this when we can finally rejoice about beating the Yanks and the talent they have, says a lot about our boys.

Maybe we ain't too bad.
