Paradise Bridals
Hi I am new to this. I have been reading the chat rooms, but I have never written anything. I am writing because I would like to warn people about Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. The are nice to you until they get your commision and then they are very rude and inconsidorate. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem there?

Re: Paradise Bridals
They were really nice to me but I did not wind up getting my dress from them too much confusion going on in the store when I was there. It worried me... Hope it all works out!

Re: Paradise Bridals
sorry you are not having a good experience with them... I think with all bridal shops you will have people who have a great experience and then others who have a not so great experience...

Re: Paradise Bridals
Pam just wrote a really long post the other day about the problems she has had there. I have yet to hear something good about this place!

Re: Paradise Bridals
Pam's problems were at Bridal Suite in Patchogue, not Paradise Bridals. I love Paradise Bridals they really saved my wedding from disaster. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with them, you may want to talk to Peter Jr and see if he can straighten it out for you!

Re: Paradise Bridals
I'm sorry to hear that. My best friend got her dress there and all of our BM dresses there last year and everything went pretty smooth. The MOB also got her dress there and had some alteration problems but the people there were nice, especially Liz, she is so sweet. (I have been working with her to get my dress)

Re: Paradise Bridals
I ordered my dress from Paradise Bridals, and they have been wonderful so far! They even called to let me know that my veil came in the same pattern from a different manufacturer, and that I might like it better because it was fuller and 2-tiered. So they asked if I wanted to come in and try it on. I did, and DID love it more than the one I ordered, so they changed the order for me!They didn't charge me extra, and the fact that they remembered me was a big plus in my book!

If you go to Paradise Bridals, ask for Donna. She is super sweet and really knowledgable.

Re: Paradise Bridals
I got my veil at Paradise Bridals, and my mom got her dress there. I thought they were really nice, but when we went to go pick up the veil, my mom didn't like how they didn't offer any help with it. They were happy to get my $700 and they were like here you go. I don't know, it wasn't a big deal to me. They seemed stressed because there was a major bridezilla there at the same time.I got my dress at bridal reflections at massapequa, and have heard horror stories, but i thought they were great too. I guess with any place people have good experiences and bad experiences.

Re: Paradise Bridals
I went to try on dresses at Paradise Bridal as well, and they were very sweet and very helpful! They listened to my price range, and only showed me gowns that would fit into that....they listened to what I liked, and the helped me try on styles that would flatter me.I did not get my dress from there, but was very pleased with the experience!
On a side note, I bought my dress from Bridal Couture of Manhasset, and after I bought it, I heard terrible horror stories about the store.....on here na din real life.....I had a wonderful experience with them. Each experience is different. Please remember that....and try not to get all worried about a first time poster who comes on here to bash a store....

Re: Paradise Bridals
I did not come on here to bash a store. I actually came on to give brides advise. I have used this site to help guide me in making my decisions and the information I have found out has helped me like a lot of wonderful choices. Maybe I didn't give you guys enough information about my situation. I had just came back from my first fitting in tears. The did not order one of my BMs dresses, they did not help me put on my dress, there were things missing from my dress and they acted like it was my fault. I understand that there are nice people working their, but I was unfortunate and did not work with one of those women. I just don't think it is fair for a bride to be crying on a memorable day and I would not want that to happen to someone else.

I am using Paradise, I loved DOnna and was happy when ordering my dress, but since that point i have been dissapointed with the service there. I was NEVER contacted that my dress was in i had to call them. I wish i didnt get my dress there but at this point im just being nice till they do my alterations and i can take it home. Im sorry but when you spend that much $$$ i think you deserved to be pamppered a little

Re: Paradise Bridals
I dealt with Donna and she was wonderful. I have actually been there since I ordered to be resized and they were so kind about it. I have not had a problem yet . . . We shall see when the dress comes in . . .The reason i used them was because of the WONDERFUL things I had heard about them- sorry to hear you had such a problem.
