FH is seriously TRYING to make me NUTS ....VENT! Sorry Long!

Grrrrr... I swear he's just LOOKING for ways to ADD stress to my life right now! He wants to get a PUPPY!! Now, look, I am a HUGE dog lover and I can hardly wait until 2 mos after the wedding to get the two small dogs I've been wanting for a long time. That was the plan. And at that time, he could get the male bull mastiff he's been wanting for a long time. He (we) already have one huge, pain in the asss, spiteful, yet loveable 100lb female bullmastiff that is only quasi-housebroken b/c if she's feeling bitchy she'll go in the house out of spite!

I JUST SPENT an ENTIRE weekend cleaning the house from top to bottom because she just got off her period (not fixed because he thinks he wants to BREED her - the nut -- see what I'm saying?) and ransacked the place.

Now he wants to get a male puppy BULL MASTIFF!!!! Just like that. Like if it was the same thing as buying a head of lettuce. He makes ME out to be the BAD guy because I have some common sense - you DON'T get a puppy 100 days before your wedding, me moving in, the almost 2 week HM that we will be away for and have yet to figure out what to do with other beast while we are gone!!

ARgh. I feel like he's just coming up with these wacko ideas at the worse possible time as a way of lashing out and freaking out because the wedding is getting so close! Last week he was CONVINCED he was going to buy a new LEXUS... yeah right...he already HAS a 2004 car....like I said... he must be consciously and deliberately trying to make me lose my mind!! The week before that it was something else -- I never 'let' him go out drinking or some crap like that....

Is anyone else's FH doing these things? WHY OH WHY is he doing this to me? I really feel like he's just lashing out because he thinks he's on the verge of losing his freedom because he now has to 'run everything by me'. He resents it, I think. And he puts me in positions where I pretty much HAVE to say no, and then I'm automatically the bad guy. How should I handle this?! I can't even try to talk sense into him about this puppy thing -- he calls me UPTIGHT!!



OMG -- I want to shake him right now!!! Thx for letting me vent!

I hear ya! Though my FH doesn't sound so extreme (does he realize how many puppies you would have running around soon with a male and a female who isn't neutered or spayed!?), he definitely does the same...Without thinking I like to think (if it is deliberate I would kick his a%*). For example, last week his parents were saying they want to go on a cruise for their 30th anniversary, and his aunts and uncles are going. He said, 'Oh, we'll go! That will be so much fun.' I had to be the rational one and in front of everyone say there is no way we would have the $ a few months after our honeymoon and buying our new condo I didn't like being in that position where I was the bad guy, you know? I think men are more immature and just don't think as much before they speak. Or act.

Well.... here I am at home now and yep, you guessed it -- there's a new puppy here too!!

It's friggin' adorable. Ugh.... I knew this would happen.... he's gonna have it checked out by the vet and then he'll decide but I think the decision's already been made!!

I hear ya about the freaking out! FH is all about hanging out with 'the boys' lately and playing golf...blah,blah,blah... I think he just feels like this is his last summer of freedom. Whatever that means!?!!? I just don't get men!!!
