Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
Sometimes when I see a wedding review that seems so unbelievable I feel like my wedding can never be like that
I wish I could start all over and do a different theme or color scheme
I know if I change things now everyone will go nuts. Plus it will cost more money. I am definitely in a sad mood tonight

First of all....you are having it at a top notch place so no worries there.... i sometimes think this way too but then i realize how lucky i am ..sometimes i feel like a little brat but it is only because we all have been dreaming of our wedding day since we were little girls
IT IS QUITE ALRIGHT
i am sure you will have the wedding of your dreams

Woman!! You are getting married at Flowerfield, your wedding can be every bit the fairytale that you want it to be. Flowerfield is a beautiful canvas and your wedding will be amazing and personalized to you and your FI. There are so many gorgeous color combos and ideas out there just because you may have recently seen something that is different than what you've been planning that doesn't mean that yours will be any less spectacular. Just think, you could be a bride in Alabama getting married in your Auntie's basement. Then you'd have reason to be depressed!!

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
I get the same way sometimes when I see different color schemes and themes for weddings.... I used to look at mine like it wasnt as nice but now I look at it as they are all beautiful and I wish I could get married like 5 times !!! lol im serious each time in a different setting with a different style dress and different season and different color scheme etc. like on the beach, in a ballroom, at a castle, in a church etc
I just appreciate the beauty in all these different types of weddings and I think it natural to feel this way

Been there done that.Money is an important factor for having great backgrounds and so forth but this is where I had to realize that its not about stuff like that. Its about having a bond with FH and knowing that you not only have beautiful photos but a great marraige.

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
I know it might be hard not to feel that way but seriously everyone has there own way of doing things and you should feel confident that your wedding will be just as perfect as someone elses, besides, it's not a competition to see whose is better. Everyone has different ideas and different budgets, no one should feel like their wedding is any less even if it's in someone's backyard.Don't feel sad, your wedding will be beautiful because you and FH decided on it together

Seriously, a wedding is beautiful because of the chemistry between the two people getting married and the joy of all of their guests in witnessing such an exciting moment. Everything else is is unimportant.

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
I know how you feel. For a while, especially after joining LIW, I was second-guessing Floral Terrace. It was like, I fell in love the first time there, but then when I went back, I started analyzing every little thing! But, when I thought about it, it had all the elements I wanted for the single most important day of my life-the day I get to marry my bestest friend in the world:) So, again, it doesn't matter where, how, how much, when....you are getting married for love and love only...everything else is secondary! You two will make it more beautiful than even the most gorgeous, expensive place in the entire world!

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
I think you will always be changing your mind on what you like, but you can't have everything. You just have to make your choices and be happy with them.I get jealous too when I read reviews and see pictures and my wedding is over, so there's nothing I can do about it! I loved my wedding and yeah, there were some things that I wish I'd done differently, but my wedding was unique because it was MINE, and I'm sure that there will be plenty of girls who will read your review and think to themselves, 'that's so awesome, I wish I'd thought of that!'
So don't worry, your wedding will be phenomenal and unique!

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
Don't be sad. Your wedding should be a reflection of you and your fiance.Personally I know if I planned my wedding 10 times, I would do it 10 different ways. Not that I don't LOVE what I have chosen, but I have so many ideas. Each would be wonderful and unique. I am the same way with decorating. I know that when I get a house I will have a different decorarting scheme in each room.
Just something to think about. I am sure your wedding will be wonderful.

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
I used to get that way too... and honestly- Maybe we could have had a more grandiose wedding- but we're both busy people and didn't have unlimited resources- and we made due with what we had. Yes, we were blessed in that my parents paid for the entire wedding, but that didn't mean I had to take everything to the nth degree- they are only musicians afterall.Plus- looking back, over a year later- I would have been just as happy in a KOC hall.. it wasn't about the color scheme, or the centerpieces, or the favors, or my dress... it was about the joining of 2 families and the awesome spectical of having step families and half families all in the same room, getting along for US!
The way I see it is, my marriage and my family- you couldn't buy it for any price... not that I am condeming other marriages to failure- but you just NEVER know- my friend had an amazing wedding.. and now, just over 2 years later- heading down the aisle for divorce.
You know the saying.. don't sweat the small stuff.. the wedding, the party- it IS small stuff....

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
I get really upset and sometimes even cry. I am a punk. I wanted a wedding dress that was discontinued and I was so upset I said I didn't even wanna get married anymore my mom said every bride looks beautiful and I truly believe that. Every wedding is beautiful and every bride looks gorgeous. There is some special glow to the bride and some excitement about the event that overlooks the little flaws. IF you even have flaws, no one will notice but you.

Re: Does anyone get depressed sometimes after reading reviews of weddings?
No I love to read wedding reviews - even before my wedding - each wedding is a special reflection of the couple and I don't think it matters if you spend 2K or 200K on it - it is the specialness of the couple and the reflection of what is special to them that makes the impression on me. What makes me sad is more that the day is over for themWelcome New Vendors
