Thank You card etiquette

I've had a few people RSVP no but they sent us a check/gift. Should I send a thank you now or should I wait till after the wedding and send all thank-you's together this way I can also include a pic?

Re: Thank You card etiquette

For gifts you are receiving now, I would send a thank you right away. You can send a pic later if you like but theres still a few weeks until the wedding so there's time to get the handful of TY's out now.

We sent TY's up to the week of the wedding. Anything we received then, we sent with all the wedding guest thank yous with the pics.

Re: Thank You card etiquette

If it is someone you are close to , you could also call, and send the thank you later. Just either call or write now, so they know you got it, and send a thank you later anyway, with a picture. Although if you are not close, you don't necessarily have to send the 2nd thank you with the picture, I don't think.

Re: Thank You card etiquette

You could always send one now..but I think I would also send them a TY later with a picture, especially since they were not there to see you.

Re: Thank You card etiquette

I was taught to send out TY cards as soon as I received a gift..I am not sure if that is Emily Post or just my mom!
