a wedding?? I have a wedding the end of the month and have a red dress, is red inappropriate for a wedding? TIA

People say it is an attention getting color and should only be worn if attention is to be drawn to you. i love red and have worn it before, but i have since heard this. i just want to make sure it is ok.

I don't see any problem with it- unless you slept with the groom I almost bought a red dress for my ex's wedding and someone told me not to for an ex's wedding, but for anyone else, its fine.

I wouldn't do it, but I have been to other weddings where there was a red dress ot two.

It's like the don't wear black rule, it's an older tradition, that most people ignore now.

What's off limits is white or ivory @ weddings. Red is cool... though I've heard that people who wear red @ weddings are attention seekers... I don't agree with that. So I say go for it!

Yea, I wouldn't worry about the color. What I'd worry about is someone wearing the same dress as you! That's a lot of people!

Yes, you can wear red.
I wore red one time to a wedding since I'm usually wearing black. And they even played 'Lady in Red' and FH and I danced to it. A gentleman that was dancing with another lady that night next to us, told me, 'you are definitely wearing the right color tonite with this song'....I thought it was cute.
It was nice. As long as it is a nice red and goes with your complexion, I say wear it. As long as you don't wear white or ivory, it's cool!

I understand why people don't wear white but at some point we have to draw the line.
Some say don't wear black, others say no red. What colors can we wear?

Other than white - wear what you want

I did show up at a wedding with an almost identical dress to the bridesmaids. That was frustrating. That's why I got my BM pink and white striped dresses. Nobody is going to have those!
