Forgot to share the good news!!

Im going with Laurie from LABlossom!! She had the centerpieces I was looking for and she will also be taking care of all my flower arrangements!! Yippee!! Im now all set with all my vendors.

I think thats it for vendors, right? Now Im just waiting to purchase a printer from my job and I can get started on the placecards, programs, menus, table numbers and every other project I want to do on my own!! Woohoo!!

I was looking into hotels, but they all told me it was too early to book and to come back in October of this year.

But I completely forgot about limos, thanks for the reminder!!

I dont know how to go about that. I think Im going to wait for my sis to come in August. She said she was going to run the idea with the other BM's to chip in and pay for my hair and makeup. But I dont know if I should tell them where I want to go or just wait for them to get back to me on it. Either way, I still have plenty of time. Im waiting for my sis to go look at dresses for myself and for the BM's.

I don't know if this helps you divabride but these hotels were willing to block off rooms well over a year in advance -

Hilton in Huntington
The Inn at Fox Hollow
The Marriot in Melville
Best Western in Woodbury

We went with the Marriot b/c the rates were great! Plus they told us that their prices will only go up so we might as well lock in now. Our guests can't reserve until a year in advance but at least they've got a great price.

Plus, their lobby is an awesome alternative for indoor pictures if it rains!

My catering hall is affiliated with the hotel next door, the wyndhan wind watch. Im hoping all my guests will stay there so it will eliminate the need to drive after the reception. Its literally 500 feet away from the hamlet. Plus, they leave the bar and lounge open late for an afterparty. My only other alternative is the Marriott (not sure) next to Computer Associates.
