I have two very small beehives outside our home...How can I get rid of them?

I hate bees!!!!!!!!! Can anyone recommend a way to get rid of them. They are very small, about this size of a quarter (a little bit larger).

Re: I have two very small beehives outside our home...How can I get rid of them?

We had a beehive or wasp nest outside on the deck. DH sprayed Raid on it at night time. Nothing came out - but it may have been abandoned.

My parents had a huge hive by their side entrance door last year. They didn't even know it was there until someone was powerwashing the siding. After he knocked down the hive with the water pressure, the bees swarmed out- he hosed them down. That was a bit scary though bc if you miss one - I'm sure they'll sting you.

Re: I have two very small beehives outside our home...How can I get rid of them?

We had several of them last year under our deck. Are they honeycomb like? If so they are probably wasp nests. Just buy the Raid Wasp spray. Then around sundown (do it then because that is when the hive is not active) just spray the nest with the raid. Leave it for 24 hrs to make sure the raid kills the bees. Then you just have to remove it. It's really not a big deal...trust me - I was freaking out! I wanted to call someone but I would have wasted my money...it was really simple.

P.S. The raid kills on contact, I've sprayed bees and they die right there, it's good stuff!

Re: I have two very small beehives outside our home...How can I get rid of them?

we have done the raid thing too - either at sunset of late at night....actually, dh has done it, i stood on the inside of the house holdigna back up can of raid in case they came and attacked him, i would have run out spraying...luckily it didn't happen (partially b/c i don't konw wqhat i would have done being the bug-scaredy cat i am! )......oncr it sets a little, knock it down the next day or so using a broom handle or something.....as long as they are still small, they are easy to take care of but keep watch, they can grow pretty big if left alone!!!
