Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

I don't think they'll be enough time to get drunk!! I don't want him to get sloppy, but I have no problem with him having a few drinks.

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

I figure we will both drink a little but I wouldn't want to get drunk. I want to remember everything & I dono't wanna be sick the next day

My FSIL's new hubby got very drunk at their wedding. In his drunken state he accidentally flushed a hand towel down the toilet in their very expensive bridal suite and overflowed it. Cost them $$$. Now THAT would piss me off!

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

I doubt that I will get drunk at the wedding, but I do plan on drinking. FH can go either way. He says that he won't, but there's a good chance he will. As long as he doesn't act like a fool, I don't really care too much. We're going to go to a bar near the hotel after the wedding, so I will try to keep him from getting too drunk before then. Once the wedding is over, if he wants to over do it than he can. Just one thing for him to keep in mind, we're leaving for our honeymoon 6 hours after our wedding! He'll feel like crap the whole flight if he's had too much to drink.

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

I think I may try to stick to Pina Coladas. They don't really effect me and they are so cold it takes me a while to drink 1.

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

I think as long as I stick to beer I should be ok. A couple of shots thrown in won't be too bad, but if I try to drink drinks all night I'll be in trouble!

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

I'd like FI and I to get a little buzzed, but I can tell you now that he's going to get p*ss drunk and I'm going to get p.o.'d and we're going to fight. It would be a miracle if it didn't happen that way.

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

We are definitely palnning on having a few at the reception. I do want to remember it and so does he. We are going with the crowd to a bar after so we'll probably do more drinking there.

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

Umm, I can't drink anymore, had surgery a few years back, and everytime I've had something to drink, I've gotten sick, so for me I won't be .. but FH I know will have a good time..lol I just have to keep him under control, because we leave for the honeymoon the next morning, and he's already cranky about flying..

Re: Getting drunk at your wedding?

We want to have a good time and relax. - I can hold my liquor MUCH better than he can. - SO......he will not be getting trashed at our wedding ! -(personally I think a wasted bride is kinda trashy.....) - As long as we're having a good time and eveyone else is having a good time, I'm not really owrried about it - i'm sure i'll have a great buzz !! Besides, we want to remember our day !!
