Hi ladies!

The get together is tonight at 8:00 at Friday's in Massapequa on Sunrise Highway-and so far we've got 15 people and 1 maybe-wow! If you haven't RSVPed yet but would like to come, please do-we'll just pull up more chairs :-). I'll make the reservations when I get to work (too early now).

If you need directions from Southern State, Valerie gave great ones. Do a search on her posts for the last 10 days or so. From Sunrise, it's about 1/4 mile west of the Sunrise Mall and the Nassau/ Suffolk border.

Hi- I cant go

Hi. I cant go tonight. I am very disappointed. I have a follow up doctors appointment at 7:00 and promise my fiance I would go to his bands gig in the Hamptons. I really would have enjoyed meeting everyone!!! Have fun!!

Well, I met with my rabbi yesterday, and he was so nice! He gave us a bunch of material to read over, including many different choices for vows...Because it is interfaith, we were wondering if my fiance had to wear a yarmulke under the chuppah, and the rabbi said he didn't have to (darn!)...Score one for the catholic boy...lol...He also said that we could light a unity candle if we'd like, light is very significant in the jewish religion...Don't think my mom was too fond of the idea, but we thought that was great!

So I'm posting...has anyone been to a wedding where they've performed? Does anyone have a DJ referral they can pass along? The bride and groom prefer a freestyle music theme and want the fun throwaways....preferably someone who can teach those fun dances too. Ideally, we'd like someone who has Greek Music but if not, is service oriented and would be willing to accomodate.

I'm still waiting for the fun to start. My fiancee is rather devout. She will break out in hives (literally) if she misses a mass. I've been away from the church for more than 25 years. I'm only doing this for her. Fortunately, I was baptised as a baby, so I've had my ticket punched, so to speak. Everything else the priest is willing to work with. Finding a church has been the biggest part of the planning. Everything else is a breeze compared to this. She was quite beside herself when everyone was giving us a hard time. Fortunately, we found this one.

How many weddings do they hold at once? I could have sworn 2, but just want to hear from those who are using them.

It wasn't an opportune time to talk to this particular girl when she called and I told her to call me back the next day to give me more details on this "prize". Needless to say, I didn't receive a call back. What does this tell you? Sorry that I couldn't have had better news for you about this... just be careful, OK?

I had mine in the lower room. I cannot say enough about the place- it was really great food and vert tastefully decorated.
