OMG the worst thing happened!!! UPDATED WITH PICS (to compare)

I was getting suspicious about my dress being that it wasnt on the Davids Bridal website or in their catalog and on the web I found all these message boards with girls trying to find this dress. I called the 800 number to ask if it was dis-continued and IT IS!!!

How could they not tell me??? What were they going to do??? Give me the sample and not tell me??? I am hysterical crying at work!!! What am I going to do???

I had butterfiles in my stomach when I pictured me in that dress.

I dont know what to say!! that is awful!! when did you order it?? I would go to the store asap and see if you can get the sample cheap and have it cleaned?

Did you already order it? If you did before they discontinued it, they should still be making it for you.

They may have discontinued it after, which means they just arent taking orders for that dress anymore. But if they took the order, call the store & make sure they will produce that gown for you.

did you order it yet? maybe thhere is a way they can get it...or maybe you can find one just like it. I hope it works out for you that is terrible.

Definitely call the store. It's possible that they didn't contact you because you ordered it before they discontinued it. They discontinue because they run out of that fabric or beading, etc. If your order was already in, the material to make the dress would already have been set aside. Don't worry yet!!

No I was going back this Saturday to buy it. The consultant assured me that it was not dis-continued.

That is terrible and I think you need to express that to them!!!
Ask them when they were going to decide to tell you. You deserve a free dress as far as I am concerned. Which style was it?

They sell alot of dresses new with the tags on!! girls buy it and change their mind or call off the wedding.... its worth a shot

Did you contact the person who assured you it would be available to order? Definitely get on their backside about it and if they can no longer order the dress discuss the sample dress as well as perhaps having another David's Bridal send you their sample if your store cannot accommodate. But act fast since so many others are looking for this dress.

I agree ... things really DO happen for a reason, I've learned that as I've gone along through this entire wedding process.

I hope you find your dress, be it this one from Davids or another one you discover down the road .. you might not think so, but you have PLENTY of time ! And you will wind up walking down the aisle next year in 'THE DRESS', YOUR dress -- trust me!!

OMG I am so so sorry!!! How could they do that??? They probably were going to give you the sample. I believe Davids does that, because when I went to buy my flower girl dresses, they were going to give it to me off the rack, but I made them order a new one.

Ok I calmed down since I first posted. I was writing that through tears because the men in the office just didnt understand. Maybe they will find one that was forgotten.

I loved that dress but you girls are right. I have time to find another one. At least now I know the style I like.

I am also a crazy over-reactor, now you all know. Thats why people always say FI is an angel for putting up with me.

Try the Wedding Center in Commack, or websites that offer to find discontinued dresses. I tried that before and and they were able to find me one that had been discontinued. I was able to get it from the Wedding Center though. Post a pic, if you have one--maybe people can suggest similar dresses.
