How do you de-wrinkle a cathedral length veil??

I have a cathedral length veil that is very wrinkled, but since it's so long it's kinda hard to hang in the bathroom - do you think it's worth it to take it to the dry cleaners to have them press it? How much do they charge for that?

I'd say it needs to be steamed. Don't know what it would cost.

Okay, some help I am ! Sorry!

I had a catherdal viel and was told to bring it in the bathroom when you shower, and let it hang. I am not too sure about dry cleaning, it may strech out the veil and loose it's shape.

You can bring it to the dry cleaners and have them STEAM it for you.

Re: How do you de-wrinkle a cathedral length veil??

Do you have a bridal salon close to you that does alterations? If so, they have steamers on the premises. I would ask them to do it for you. They may charge a small fee, but I believe it is worth it!!

Re: How do you de-wrinkle a cathedral length veil??

If you have a steam irn I would do it that way. To keep it from getting crazy use the hanger with the clips while you iron it. Just dont put the full weight of the iron on it. kind of just pass the iron on top of it without touching the actual veil.

If you do the shower thing, since the veil is so long use two hangers. So it will hang horizontal and then go down to the floor.
I hope this helps.
I hope I made sense. I know b/c we did my veil which was catherdral also. Good luck.
