Need ideas for creative wedding gift (repost from NWR)

My friend is getting married in a couple of weeks and I'd like to get them something different. As far as I know, they are all set with household items...and they already have a daughter together.
Anyone have any ideas? We don't have a ton of mula to spend but I'd like to get them something rememerable.
TIA

From experience I can say that rarely does anyone want anything 'creative' -- they want waht they registered for..... maybe something personal as an extra? What is their theme, if any? Or interests? How about a gift to take on the honeymoon??

One of my friends gets for showers sometimes, its like those wood frames that say daughter, father etc on them, but you can get them personalized with their names...they are always a big hit..I don't know where she gets them though..

Re: Need ideas for creative wedding gift (repost from NWR)

I've given gift certificates for a couple's favorite restuarant before. It's something that you know they will like, but isn't on their registry, plus it's personal.

I usually said something like- When all of the craziness of the wedding is over, take a night out just the 2 of you to relax. Or say something about a 'date night.'

They've always been appreciated....

LOL
well.......they are creative people. not what you'd call the 'typical' couple. There wedding is extremely low-key as in only 20 guests...
And they're not going on a honeymoon.
So........I don't know WHAT to get them!
But thanks anyway

LMAO...that is a beautiful idea...but if I drew them a picture they'd look like stick-figures!
