I'm CLOSING today - any advice? UPDATED

I'm so nervous (and EXCITED) we are scheduled to close today at 4:30. Does anyone have any tips, advice, suggestions, etc!!!

June 1st hopefully. Let me know how it goes cause I am clueless too. I heard you have to write alot of checks and sign alot of papers.

I'll definitely let you know!!! We will have less checks to write than most because we are doing a sellers concessions for the closing costs!

bring snacks!

Our closing took over 7 hours and it was a new construction home so just us and the builder. Our lender sucks so they messed alot of things up and we had to order pizza at the attorney's office! lol

I own a home! YIPEE!!! It went relatively well. My FH and I worked a 1/2 day - he said his stomach was jumpy (nerves how cute) we get in the car, we are one the West Side highway (live in NYC buying in Westchester) for about 10 minutes and we have to pull over so he can lose his cookies!!! The poor thing had that stomach bug. He forged ahead against my advice - he had to walk out of the closing a few times so it delayed things...but everyone was understanding!!!

It wasn't so bad. We did sign LOTS of papers, but our lawyer had went over them before hand so we knew what to expect (if you can do this DO IT - and we only had to sign 2 checks since we did a sellers concession (rolling closing costs into the mortgage!) It was only 2 1/2 hours including the bathroom breaks for FH.

SO I'm so excited...unfortunately we are letting the sellers rent from us until the end of the month so I still don't get to sleep there!!!

FH is much better this morning! what timing the poor thing!
