computer help, anyone? ( printer problem)

how come my rpinter prints the colors all wrong?
Yellow & red are blue & blue is this weird olive drab color.
Its a Canon BJC ( inkjet)

This is a new thing.
I can't tell if my cartridge is screwy or if something got screwed up when i fromated my hard drive & reinstalled all the drivers & such.

Sounds like your ink is running out. Get a new cartridge.

thanks. I;l try that. I gues that's good news, b/c its easy to fix, but I can't really get to a store that carries it tomorrow. I'll have to ask FH to get it on the way home from wrok. I don't have a car & I'm not giogn itnot the city tomorow.
None of the places I can walk to would have it.

You can also try disconnecting the cables, there may be dust somewhere. I had a problem a few months ago and when I called HP the guy told me to do disconnect the port cables, blow off any dust and reconnect. They worked fine after.

I used to have that printer and it did that when one or two colors ran out. More than likely it's the cartridge...... you can order one from Staples or Office Max, even wholesale clubs like Costco have 'em.

I usually get them at Staples on 6th avenue & 22nd street. I thoguh Ihad an extra, but that's jsut the black one.
Fh works near an office max, so hopefully they'll have it.
I'm too impatient to wait for it to be delivered.
