Going for my Engagement Photo Session
Today!! I can't wait. I hope the photographer is as good as I think he is. I'll let everyone know how they come out. The photographer said he would help me out an put the pictures on a disk so I don't have to scan them onto my "save the date" cards. I am so nervous!\
What should I expect? Anyone have any suggestions?
Z100 then opened the phone lines and many men and women said they would also invoice. Only 2 said they would not. I'd never heard of such a thing before...and we had 5 no shows (of a total 90 guests expected)! My personal philosophy (with any financial matter) is spend no more than you can afford....in this case, even if it means a smaller wedding....again, my personal opinion....

I went last night and it took all of 20 minutes. It was strange because he put us in so many different positions that I never would have thought of. Some were kinda awkward (he had Tim lay on a bench on his stomach, with me on top of him (not easy in a skirt) and prop myself up) but he said they made for good pictures. I'll let you know how they turn out. I liked how he worked though. He let you know exactly what he wanted from you. Made it easier to do than standing around trying to figure it out.
I assume that the blusher would come off right after my parents walk me down the isle before the vows. I think??

Who are you using as your photographer? That sounds scary to me since our engagement shoot is gonna take place in Central Park!!! Yikes!!! Thanks for the info.

We have Celestial Photographer (631) 756-0777 and we are working with the owner, Lou. We weren't sure where we had wanted to get the pictures taken, so he suggested a small park in Lindenhurst. I would never have thought, or even known about it. I hope they come out as good as I think they will. TIm and I have no really good pictures of us together - maybe one or two. I am normally the one with the camera in my hand.
I went on the website that was listed www.northhempstead.com and it is states "a couple who intends to be married in NYS must apply in person for a marriage licesne to any town or city clerk in the State. So I am intending to go to LI because everyone says the one in kew gardens is always crowded.

i think my fiance and i finally decided on Thank You by zeppelin last night!!! he really likes the new song by macy gray, but its about some guy who keeps leaving her so i didn't want that as our first song.. we put thank you on last night and danced in the living room! it was my original suggestion..and he seemed to like it last night.. so i think after talking about it for 5 months, we may have a winner!!!!! yeah! and i promised him that i'll make sure the dj plays that macy gray song so we can dance to it at some point during the night! -leighann(59 days to go!!!!)
Be sure to post all about it afterwards with recommendations - I want to keep notes from everyone's experiences so I can plan the anniversary trip next.

Finally, someone else who I can talk to! When is your wedding? Ours is August 31, 2001. He was great. No awkwardness. Where are you going? Lou is our photographer too. He offered to put our engagement pictures on a disk for me so that I can put one on the save the date cards I am sending out. He thought it would be easier than scanning a photo.
my brother just got married and he gave his best man a pocket watch which i thought was really nice. He also had it engraved. they gave the parents amex gift cards, this way they could get what they wanted. in the back of bridal magazines they also have poems to my father or mother or whatever which look nice in picture frames. you could also take it to like kinkos and have the poem copied over a picture of you and the groom or you and your mom or dad from when you were really little. I think that is sentimental.

Beware of the bugs. Lou had us do a few poses where we were sitting on benches, or on fences, etc. and I got eaten alive. I've been dealing with mosquito bites for 3 days now. Ouch!!
It goes very quickly (about 20 minutes), and is really easy.

Hi Jennifer..I'm getting married September 23rd of this year..kinda a quick engagement. Lou cancelled our sitting cause he had a fire in his office. (My luck) Hopefully he will reschedule soon!

Suzanne, we are doing programs too. We figured that since many of the people there won't be jewish, it would be nice to have an explanation for everything. My rabbi is Rabbi Nat Benjamin. Where and when are you getting married?
