My aunt wants to make computerized wedding address labels.....

.....................on her invitations for the guest addresses. I know this is not right but not 100 percent sure. It's suppose to be handwritten, right?

Re: My aunt wants to make computerized wedding address labels.....

well, people will vary on this. I personally don't like labels - I printed mine directly on the envelopes. But handwritten is supposed to be the best. I know of some inexpensive calligraphy if you need it.

Re: My aunt wants to make computerized wedding address labels.....

Personally, I prefer the addresses to be printed right on the envelope if they are being done by computer. My parents just recieved an invite with computerized labels for the address, and I just received one like for the return address and the response card envelopes, and I really did not like how they looked....JMO

I am going to do this too. I'm too afraid of the envelopes getting stuck in the printer, especially since it's not a laser printer. I can't afford a calligrapher, even the inexpensive ones and the labels were free (well, not exactly free, work paid for them shhh ). I am more concerned with what's inside the envelope and how that looks than the way the address is written. For me, as long as the address looks nice, it doesn't matter how it got on the envelope. Re: My aunt wants to make computerized wedding address labels.....

When I got our invitations, I was thinking of doing clear labels, but I was told definitely not to do that because it ends up getting smudged while it's in the process of mailing and everything.

Are there people who do calligraphy for like $1 a set? I want to do it if it's not too expensive.

Re: My aunt wants to make computerized wedding address labels.....

btw Nadine, I am not up to invites yet, but I am planning on having calligraphy done, so I wanted to thank you in advance for your vendor list.
In case you don't visit us so much after you are married.

I'm not a fan of the labels either, (for wedings, I use the clear ones for Chirsmas cards & stuff) but I always thought was weird for caring about things like that.
