Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

I wanted half down, but I did think of that. Plus, it's June and I was worried that it might frizz or come undone if the weather is humid.
Also, when I met with my hairdresser, he was very opposed to half down b/c he was nervous it wouldn't stay. He did an updo with alot of big curls in the back and I loved it!

Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

I really really want to wear it 1/2 down but I am afraid of humid weather, sweating, fussing with it, etc. I'm going to do a trial both ways (up and down) and decide.

Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

I think about that all the time but I just don't feel comfortable with my hair up. I think my hair looks better down 9or at least halfway down)
I want to look like me on my wedding day (just more polished). people have never seen me with my hair up.
I do worry about the heat and humidity because I am getting married in the middle of summer.
I think I may get hair extensions to thicken it (my hair fell out recently so it is a bit thinner making things worse!)

Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

I have long hair and will probably wear it down or half up and down. Don't forget ladies that the reception in the summer time should be air conditioned if you are having it at a hall. so I'm not concerned with sweating like a pig.

Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

I wore my hair 1/2 up and 1/2 down.. it rained on my day and my hair didn't frizz- and it didn't frizz when I was dancing. If you have a good hairdresser, the style will hold.

IMO, I don't think it matters much about the hairdresser... Some people just frizz, no matter what... I am having a similar dilemma : (

Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

yes it does.
it matters about the product and the quality of the straightening iron or curling iron that is used.

I have VERY fine hair that frizzes VERY easily..

Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

I'm not worried about it. It's April, and I'm not much of a dancer, so it won't be an issue for me.

OK, I said IMO... I have used every product out there, straightening irons, gels, polishes, you name it... if it's humid out, I frizz. glad you didn't.

Re: Anyone who wants to wear hair down or half up...

I want to wear my hear similar to this and I'm hoping that with the wavy hair the frizz won't be too much of an issue and that the AC will help me out. I want my hair down too so and I have the same concerns but just talk with the person doing your hair and work with them. I think I'm going to use hair extensions too since my hair seems to have thinned a bit.

Same here! I am too afraid of that happening, so instead of wearing it half up like I wanted I will have it all up...I know my hair, and I would rather be safe than sorry!
