do u thank them for attending the wedding, or do you just thank them for the gift what if the gift is money?

I don't know how many guests you had, but if it wasn't that many, you may want to personalize them the best you can. And definitely mention the gift in the thank you card if it wasn't money.

i don't believe people refer to money and/or amount, it is a 'gift'...

I am in the process of doing mine. and i get some gret idea from verseit.com
and a thread on Newleywed board from jennbaby that has a bunch of links to other threads with same questions.

basically, thank them for their presence and for the lovely gift.
i think money is a gift.
