mommie's little girl dance

Hey girls, I don't have a father or male figure to dance with so I'm gonna dance with my mom. Any suggestions for songs.

My friend danced with her mom to Bette Midler 'Wind Beneath My Wings' and another used 'Because you Loved Me' to dance with her sisters & brothers

Another beautiful song, which I am using to dance to with my dad is 'If it wasn't for your love' by Heather Headley. It would definitely be good for a mother/daughter dance also.

thank you so much for posting this! my father passed away about 5 years ago and my grandfather who was going to walk me down the isle and dance w/ me passed today! so now i have to ask my mom do the honors and it's soo confusing as to what to do! thank you.

Fairylise, my condolenses for your loses. I too have recently lost my father and both sets of grandparents. As hard as it is to get through, cherish every moment for this is what your family members would of wanted.

I am in the same boat. My dad passed away when I was 5 so it has always just been mom...I was thinking of a slow, sappy song but than I thought of maybe doing a faster song like 'Simply the best' by Tina Turner! (I'll probably use that one for her surprise 50th b-dy this summr and go with a sappy one!)

How about that Josh Groban song 'You raise me up'...that song is amazing!! Good Luck!

wow, thanks for suggesting 'if it wasn't for your love' by heather headley. i had already chosen a song for my dance with my dad (you raise me up, josh groban), but i might change my mind! another GORGEOUS song is 'in my daughter's eyes' by martina mcbride...appropriate to dance with mom OR dad.

TinkerB30....For my mom's 50th bday my 2 sisters and I danced to 'because you loved me' by Celine Dion with her and my uncles danced 'wind beneath my wings' with her.

They are both great songs and I have to agree with Josh Groban's 'You raise me up'...it really is amazing!!

I danced with my mom to 'You and me against the world'. She always says that the song reminds her of me. It was a surprise to her at the wedding and she loved it.
