Does your mom make 'Sauce' or 'Gravy'?

I am not Italian, but am marrying one, and everyone in his family calls it sauce. My FH HATES when people call it gravy...

Sauce!AND...my FH and I were just talking about this the other night...when you make some kind of pasta, do you call it pasta or macaroni?

My dad's side is sauce. Dh's side says gravy. Isn't there a difference between Northern and Southern?

I think my mom switches. When I was growing up, it was gravy, but I have heard my mom say sauce too

My house it is sauce.. Gravy is brown and goes on meatloft or a roast or soemthing.And it is always referred to in my house as spagetti and meatballs. No matter what kinda pasta is used.

Yup. He is 100% Italian...I am 1/2 Italian, 1/2 German.
