We bought our co-op through Foxtons. Even though they're based in NJ, they have real estate agents all over the tri-state area. Tehy were great to deal with and we had no problems at all.

Good luck!

Re: HAs anyone purchased a home from a FOXTONS RE agent?

We just signed contracts to purchase a townhouse in NJ with Foxtons. The Sellers listed their home with them - they are not that resposive at all but we love the home and had no choice but to deal with them.

They were all over us with the bidding process but once we signed contracts, they aren't resposive. I am on top of them all the time but never get a live person on the phone and have to deal with their 'Closing Coordinator' via voice mail.

I find it very frustrating that each time you call you get a different person and have to explain yourself to them all over again. I eventually ended up not going with the home.

Re: HAs anyone purchased a home from a FOXTONS RE agent?

My parents and neighbors love them, they both ended up in contract in less then a month and now are paying the smaller commission. (both sold)

My mom had problems with them calling her back and following up, so she bXitched them out and got a direct number to call to speak with the same person all the time.

My mom loves them that she got to show the house and meet the people she felt better that way, she was never allowed to discuss money though because foxtons handled that. She was also warned not to go with a foxtons atty and to find her own to make the contract go easier.

I see them as a plus because since the owners are paying less of a commission they can lower there prices and will in most cases accept lower bids
