N.W.R. Feel bad for my friend..................(vent).

I feel so bad for one of my best friends......she is 36 years old and cannot meet anyone good!!!
First of all she is a beautiful girl inside & out!
She looks about 25 so when she goes out all these really young guys hit on her.
When she goes to functions for business colleagues talk to her as if she was 20. When they find out her age, they then hit on her and try to sleep w/ her.
I feel bad- the club/bar scene is rough and expensive.
I told her to try Match.com but most guys her age want to date girls up to 32 or 33.
I just want her to be as happy as I am.
Ok I am done.......she just gets so discouraged.

Awww.. I totally understand. i dont have any advice as I'm going through the same thing... but my friend, chooses LOSERS.. I went throug it, and didn't think I would ever find my prince but I did.. she will find hers, maybe she's looking in the wrong places.. ie: clubs.. I would definately do match.com

Theres nothing wrong with younger guys look at Demi and Ashton.

Is there a group of singles she can join?

I know sometimes singles groups are filled with desperate men that can't find a woman becuase they are jerky but sometimes you can find nice guys too.

Or a singles cruise?

I know that's expensive but if she has vacation coming up, what the hell? If she doesn't meet anyone then it's still a cruise right?

Or join a group that is based on a hobby. My friend loved watching crew (rowing) and found out there was a rowing group in Albany (she lives near there) and joined and met a guy that was on a competing team from Pittsburgh and they are now married. It was cool because she was meeting all these people that loved doing what she loved watching and doing. (And she was 33 when she joined, she's now 37 I think).

The bar scene is like this (IMO): you're meeting people that are drinking or drunk. Men usually don't go to a bar to meet a girl they may want to date. They go to either relax, get drunk, or find a woman to sleep with.

Of course there are exceptions (I met FH in a bar - and no I didnt' sleep with him that night, but not for lack of his trying to get me to!) LOL
he asked but I said no and he was cool with that and said later that he's glad I did say no, it made him like me more

Anyway, there is a guy out there for her, maybe not at a bar but certainly other places.

I agree w/ you Maribelle about the whole bar thing. It's not quantity- its quality.
I am going to make her put her own ad on match!!!!!!
There has to be someone for her!
