DUVET COVER Tips??
For those of you that use duvet covers. What on Gods GREEN EARTH
do you use to keep the comforter in place in there??
Im pretty sure they sell some types of clips or something to keep the corners in tact...
Any links or ideas?
I cant deal with the sloppiness of it, and IM about to burn my duvet and down comforter

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
I was going to try that last night, but couldnt find safety pins. and I also thought they might start ripping the comforter.
So right now my down comf is 'naked'

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
We have the same problem-by the end of the night, the comforter slides all the way to one corner. It's such a pain to shake it out and line it up every morning. My sister just bought a duvet cover for my niece that has ribbons in the inside corners to tie to the comforter and hold it in place.
I think I'm going to sew them into my cover.

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
Good question b/c its driving me crazy! If I put holes into it with safety pins Im worried the feathers might start to come out and the cover might start to get a hole from all the tossing and turning.
How does the ribons work?

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
I haven't seen the duvet cover, but sis said that the ribbons/ties are on the inner corners of the cover. You use it to tie the comforter to the duvet. I guess you just tie the corner in??Before she found this, I was thinking of sewing snap tape and snaps onto cover and duvet.
Sis also saw comforter clips at Bed Bath and Beyond...

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
as a kid my mother would make our duvet covers...and she would sew in ribbons intot he corners of the covers...and onto the duvet itself...well I am not as handy with a needle as my mother so I bought the clips from BBB...and don't tell my mother but they are better than her ribbon method...

I have a cover like that as well...if its a snug fit - I find that it doesn't move as much...
also it may be the type of fabric

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
I too had one that did slide - however, it wasn't all down - I then slept in someone's bed that had a down one and I was never so confortable - so I went out a bought one - and this one doesn't do it...I'm now wondering why it doesn't happen to the one I have now...
Just curious - is your all down - or mixed?
Interesting that they all don't do it -

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
I just got a flashback. When I had a duvet on a regular comforter (not down) it would totally stay in place.and with my current down comforter, it flops around in there as if it were alive
Drives me INSANE

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
We bought the clips from Bed, Bath and Beyond and they work (keeping it in place) BUT it doesn't prevent the feathers in the comforter from gathering in one spot. You have to still fluff the comforter every once in a while..

Re: DUVET COVER Tips??
THis is the reason my Duvet cover and down comforter went in the garbage. I couldnt handle the fact that mid night I was sleeping something that resembled a Sheet on one side and a blob on the other...Very annoying... I don;t have much patience as you can see.
