flower girl dresses

Does anybody know of a place to get flower girl dresses that are reasonably priced? Thank you.

Hmmm...now I wonder if there's any chocolate in the house - LOL!

flower girl dresses

Hi. Dont think I am crazy but my flowergirls got their dresses at Burlington Coat Factory and they were $25 each. They have a huge selection of colors and they also have communion dresses that double as white flowergirl dresses. My flowergirls are wearing white and lavendar floral dresses. They are adorable. Check around department stores too. My junior bridesmaids got their lavendar dresses in Lord and Taylor with sale coupons and they were around $60. The flowergirl dresses in the bridal shops are outrageously priced. Hope I helped.

Hey girls, Concetta how old are your Jr BM's, because mine is almost 8 and im having the hardest time finding something ! (in dark plum). Suzanne- Today during my lunch hour im going to NYC Kids. I've heard great things about this store (in the city). I will report back to let you know how it went

Tim is a XXL - so I was a little worried about how he would look, and he looked sooo handsome!

I highly recommend them, ask for Dawn if you go. Tell her you spoke to Debby (the girl with the "big guy").. She also mentioned that they have a bayshore store that also sells used tuxedos around 200 dollars.. depending on whats available. Either I got really lucky..or this is one of the better tuxedo places..the guys got a good price, and my Timothy looked sooo good! I'm getting excited now!!! 3 months to go!

I have a jr. bridesmaid who is 10---What a NIGHTMARE trying to find a dress!!! She was too little for adult sizes, the childrens dresses were too babyish (We have a flowergirl who is 6, and we wanted out Jr. BM to feel more "grown-up). So, I ended up buying the material from the maufactor of the BM dresses and had a dress made for her. That way the color is the same and the fabric is identical. Also, it makes it much easier to find a style you and she can both love. You should check out where you got the BM dresses and see if they can order 4 yards of the same fabric for you.

:)

My Jr's are 8 and 12. Lord & Taylor had a sale and we used coupons in Newsday and got lavendar Jessica McClintock dresses really cheap. Now that fall/winter stuff is coming out you will have more luck finding darker colors. I would definetly try dept stores or a childrens store. The bridal shops were sooooo expensive.

My fiance just got fitted for a tux for his friend's wedding and they didn't have shoes in his size (size 15!). Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anywhere that specializes in big & tall sizes?

Rachel, actually the BM guy wil make it in her size but her mom feels that she would look to skinny (A-LINE) so we found one on martasbridal.com, go to bridal originals and its F967, and we have to have it in a special order cuz their purples dont go. I really didnt want her to have to spend so much, but she would rather!(you would think the opposite !!)

thanks Rachel ! I've had HARD HARD luck with DARK PLUM !! im sure i wont have a problem with my lavender flower girls.

Why not do a different style in the same color? My BM's are in a straight skirt and bateau style tank top (both in black). I thought it was too "sexy" for a 10 yr old, so we opted for an ivory top with cap sleves and a box pleat skirt for the Jr. BM. She will look similar to the BM's in a more "youthful" style. One thing to be very careful of, especially with the plums b/c they come in so many different tones, is that they don't clash. HAPPY PLANNING!!!

August 19, 2000, me too praying for good weather!

Can a junior BM, have a diffrent dress than the other girls, but same color? Or, the same dress in white, my BM wearing light blue. I found the same dress in white for my junior BM, didn't buy it yet, but I'm thinking of it.

Thanks for your help!

Rachel, I agree with you. Actually the Jr. BM will be in a long poofy dress, same color, wheereas the BM's are going to be in a 2pc (Spaghetti strap tank), so it is a little different. :)

The store i mentioned in my previous email has a website www.nyck.net

great dresses for under $80 (some $49.99) for flower girls, in lots of colors ! and they are 3 blocks from Penn station !

Idont think i would do white in a Jr BM, thats really for a flower girl or a mini bride. She should fit the color them of the BM's. maybe a shade darker or lighter ? check out www.nyck.net the store is 3blocks from penn station and they have some selections in light blue (how old is your jr bm again ?)

Really nice dresses on that site you gave me. I didn't really wanted to get a puffy dress for her, becouse my other BM wearing a simple but yet elegant A-line dress, with spaghetti stirpes. Defentely something they can wear at anther time, I wanted the junior BM to have also a dress she could wear. Can she wear a puffy dress in the sam color? I really don't know how it should be,and I also have 4 more weeks to go. My jr. BM is coming in fram Europe one week before the wedding, so I want to do reaserch, so when she's here I know were to take her etc. Thanks for the help!

Thanks, Tim.

OOPS!!! I posted this under the wrong posting the first time. Sorry

I got my flower girl dresses at the Flea Market. Can't remember the name of the flea market but it started with an "A" (maybe Atia's?) Anyway they had ton's of booths with party, flowergirl and communion dresses. I got my two girls their dressesfor $55.00 each which was alot cheaper than the bridal shops.
