Ceremony music

Can anybody give me a suggestion about what instruments would be nice for ceremony music? We're getting married at the reception site (hopefully outside). We're not sure if we want a keyboardist and another instrument or maybe just a keyboardist is enough or some other combination. Any ideas? Thank you.

An organist with a trumpet player sounds great.

Brenda - was the harp loud enough ? I'm debating the same thing as Suzanne. I'm also getting married at the place. I spoke to Janet King (harpist) yesterday, and i've spoken to several classical ensemble places. I'm not sure whether to have only the harp, or maybe the cello and violin...... I know the harp has its own beautiful presence alone, so i'm really torn !!! AHH !!!

It was definitley loud enough. We were by the water and it was very loud, they can also hook it up to a amplifier and it will make it louder. I priced out Janet KIng also, she was the only name I could find, until my NOW husband checked with the music federation or something like that, We used Merry Miller Entertainment, out of New York or NJ, I think it might be a 201 area code.

I wouldn't have done it any other way, the harp is beautiful.

If it's to much, you can probably get some harp music on a tape and use that, maybe your DJ can do it for you.

Hi Brenda, I think i'm leaning towards the harp now. Stan Wiest quoted me $335 for an hour. I think i might go for it. Im waiting for his tape to listen to ! Thanks !!

Thank you so much for the reassurance that we made the right choice. I am now really excited to work with John H. I will definitely call and make an appt. for our engagement phot shoot. Do you know if he can do it on a weekend?

I highly recommend them, ask for Dawn if you go. Tell her you spoke to Debby (the girl with the "big guy").. She also mentioned that they have a bayshore store that also sells used tuxedos around 200 dollars.. depending on whats available. Either I got really lucky..or this is one of the better tuxedo places..the guys got a good price, and my Timothy looked sooo good! I'm getting excited now!!! 3 months to go!

Do you have a phone # for Stan Weist?

Father Tom works for the tribunal, processing annulments. Fi, the jokester, told him to start that paperwork too, just in case. He keeps life interesting!

Any suggestions for florists in the area?
