If you're really into partying, stay at the Cleavlander (sp?) on Ocean Drive. It's right in the heart of South Beach, right on the water.

I went there for dinner one night and the food was great and the hotel looked pretty nice. It is in an EXCELLENT location.

I stayed at Castillo Del Mar a little further up on Collins Ave. The rates were excellent, the rooms were adequate, it was right on the beach which was good, and about 5 minutes from where everything was happening by cab.

You MUST go to Pearl and Niki Beach -- two totally hot clubs.

Yeah, the Cleavelander is in an EXCELLENT spot. You're right, the food is pretty good too. They have a great Happy Hour. I feel like the South Beach queen. I go there all the time.

Nikki Beach is the hottest club on SOBE particularly on Sundays and to be honest, its probably the one that has kept it's name the longest. All the others change so often. Opium Gardens is awesome also, although that might have changed names. Crobar is a lot of fun on Fridays.

There are so many options, but I would definitely recommend going all out and staying at a hotel on Ocean Drive somewhere between 3rd and 20th. That's really the heart of SOBE.

Good Luck!

Re: Those of you who went or are going to South Beach for your Bachelorette Party...

I've stayed at the Colony which is centrally located right on the main strip. It was close to everything. The cleavlander is known to be a little rowdy. It's cool to go there for drinks and such but I would not stay there. I have been to S. Beach 4 times and have always stayed at the Colony. It's also one of the most photographed hotels in S. Beach.

You're gonna have a blast! It's such a fun place.
