This guy has a point.
How Far will tough, anti-swapping legal tactics go.

He gives GREAT analogies about swappers being the person who leave their paper out for others to pick up after they get off the train, they want their own paper they can buy it.

Good article, which I thought was worth passing on.

Good try, but the analogy is totally off base.

If he said he got caught photocopying an entire novel, and gave it out on the street (which happens,. but for 10 bucks a pop) it's absolutely no different than peer to peer file sharing of music. It is just as illegal. The problem with file sharing isn't it being passed on to another person to listen to, it's the mass distribution it results in.

Granted, it is a good attempt at reducing the severity of the issue, but IMO, completely off base.

Very interesting article. Seems like they are carrying this issue too far!
