How about Mesa Grill in the Flatiron district? I think it is southwestern type restaurant. Pretty cute place. I believe it is owned by Bobby Flay. Or Olives, also in the Flatiron district in the W hotel. Midtown? I'll have to think of a few more.

Le Colonial, I believe it is on east 57th street, very romantic, nice place!!!

the mesa grill is very good, as is bolo, bobby flays other restaurant.

Hells Kitchen- 9th Ave & 46th-ish street... new style latin/mexican food. very sexy, dark- nice decor.Pastis- meatpacking district- very great place to see & be seen.
Swing 46th- 46th b/w 8th and 9th ave- listen to a big band, dance and eat on new-american.
