junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

Ok. My girls are wearing seperates they each have different tops same skirt. They are Alfred AngeloI wanted my Junior bridesmaid (3 ) to wear the same dress. Their ages are Twins 12 and the other one is 9. When we went to look at the dresses for the Bridesmaids the dresses were $140-$180. The cheapest dress they had was one 140.00. It was plain had nothing on it but it matched the color of the bridesmaids dresses we were going to put the Junior bridesmaids in them. My FSIL called and told me that she has no problem paying that much but the dresses are very plain and are a lot of money. I totally Agree. She keeps sending me these dresses and asking do I like these and All the dresses are like Flower Girl dresses I dont want them to wear white they arent flower girls. Am I being a Biatch? If I got dresses fro them at Davids Bridal what do you think about the colors? They might not match my girls are wearing Lavendar. The colors that Davids Bridal has is Lilac. Should I do a different color? I don't know what to do.

Heres the link to the Bridesmaid dresses.

These are the Junior Bridesmaid dresses I like. I like the first one better. Its Lilac though the girls are wearing Lavender,

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

If you don't get the Jr. BM dresses from the same company as the BM dresses than I suggest you go a shade lighter so it looks like it's done intentionally. Do you best to at least stick to the same fabric and go with a lighter shade, I wouldn't go darker for the younger girls.

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

I agree - I think it is fine for it to be a different shade of the same color - I would go lighter too. I don't want my FG wearing white - my BM are most likely going to be wearing lavender/lilac - so I will get her a dress in a similar color.

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what your question is, but I like the Jr BM's dresses. They are simple, but appropriate for girls that age. Maybe you could dress it up with a flower wreath for their hair or something.

Colors are hard to match, even within the same designer, so I would be hesitant to try to match two different designers. If thats the case, you may want to try finding a color that would compliment the Bm's dresses instead of matching them.

And no, you are NOT being bridezilla! Sounds like you are being totally reasonable to me.

It's so hard, isn't it?!

Good luck!

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

I think that two slightly different shades would be OK, but you could also get a floral print with the lavender color in it for the Jr BM's and then you wouldn't have to worry about matching exactly. Although you might not want a floral print.....
Sorry Ican't be more help.

Did you try rk bridal- that is where we got our jr. bm dresses-they were 190 and we got them for 125 including tax. We got a price from netbride and they matched it. Davids isn't much cheaper.

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

I think for their ages the dresses your FSIL keeps picking are definately more flowergirl like. I also agree if you don't go with the same company you should go lighter. But can you do this dress? I have Alfred Angelo dresses and bought a junior BM dress from them as well. She looks great in it and it compliments my dresses which are satin on top and chiffon on the bottom - all one piece? My dresses are cornflower blue.

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

My sister was a JR Bridesmaid (she was 13 at the time). We bought her a size 1 bridesmaid dress in a different style and had it ordered... it was $180 plus $40 in alterations.... so I guess I have no advise except maybe check netbride or something.

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

Why don't you just tell your FSIL that isn't the look you ar egoing for? As long as they are reasonably priced I am sure she will understand since it is your wedding.

i agree she's picking out flower girl dresses...

i like the first one from davids bridal.. i think the lighter color is fine since they are junior bridesmaids verses regular bridesmaids..

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

I think $140 is alot for a Jr. Bridesmaid dress (IMO) because it is not the girls paying but the family. I know your FSIL said she wouldn't mind but I can see her point.

Go with the DB dresses, so what if they're a bit off with the color. Unless they clash but can you get a swatch of the BM's dresses to compare if they'll clash?

Re: junior Bridesmaid dress question. Am I being A Bridezilla.

I think 12 year olds would be miserable in FG dresses that are obviously made for very little girls and it would show in their faces all day.

Would FG dresses even come in their sizes?

Relax, you're not a Bridezilla, if you were you wouldn't be considering your FSIL's feelings....

Exactly.

get differnt if youhave to , but really different, lighter or darker, or patterned, not ' kinda close' it will look like a mistake.
