I haven't been to penny's but marshall's and tj maxx either have plain ones or only 1 and I'd really like too.. I already bought 2 blue colored velvet ones with bead trimmings.. but I want like a mustardy-yellow or orange.. something that'll stand out being that the couches itself are dark..
oh and Happy Belated Birthday!!!

Re: Any suggestions on where to get some really nice colorful throw pillows without paying an arm and a leg?
I bought some decorative ones - embroidered designs and stuff at JC Penney's. I loved some at Peir One and some were $25 each. I also bought some at Burlington Coat Factory - they had a lot and I was really surprised! They also had a lot of Croscill much cheaper than stores like LNT - I think you asked about that once before! Edited - Marcella - I know it wasn't in regard to pillows - I just got a call at work and hit the Post Reply button...if you are looking for anything else Croscill Burlington had a bunch esp. bathroom stuff. I say a piece that was in LNT for $15 for $8 there!

Re: Any suggestions on where to get some really nice colorful throw pillows without paying an arm and a leg?
Marcella, do you live near any of the Marburn Curtain Warehouse locations? You might try that store! I just bought a bunch (like 7-8) new pillows of all different shapes/sizes for the window seat in my living room. The total cost for all the pillows was less than $65.I know there's a Marburn on Voice Rd. across from Roosevelt Field; there's one on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale and another out here by me on Rt. 347 in Hauppauge.
Good Luck! And, I *love* those pillows you posted from Penneys! But, I can't have anything w/beading with Paul in the house!

Re: Any suggestions on where to get some really nice colorful throw pillows without paying an arm and a leg?
Any chance you or someone you know might be able to make them??? You could certainly save yourself a lot of money that way .. and pillows are far from the hardest thing to make .. especially the kind like what's in the picture you posted. My mom is making extra pillows for us from an extra curtain I bought for our living room. The furniture set we bought came with pillows, but I wanted a few accent pillows to add some color .. the couches are a deep green, and the curtain are gold, so we'll be adding gold pillows to the couches.
The fabric of the curtain is the first image below .. the pattern shows up more or less depending on how the lighting hits the fabric ... and the panels only cost me $9.99 each!!! at Linens N Things - only the Stony Brook store had a very limited quantity .. otherwise you can get them online.
ETS: You might want to check out the LNT website .. there are pillows there you might be interested in (first pillow pic - $12.99, second pillow pic - $9.99)
