Question for past Flowerfield/Lands End brides....

Did anyone meet with Audrey's to discuss the cake? If so, was did you feel it was necessary?
My banquet manager said I could if I wanted to, or I can go over it with her. Just wanted to know what your experiences were.

Thanks girls!

Re: Question for past Flowerfield/Lands End brides....

We went to Audreys, and I'm glad we did. They had more pictures of cake styles there and I liked meeting with the actual baker to go over the details. If you want anything unique, its definitely best to talk directly with them, as the banquet manager may not know of their ability to accomodate specific requests.

I don't think its necessary, but you can also get yummy pastries while there!

I did and you can see all the little pastries that they have for the reception and if you want anything specific you can ask them and they will write it down for you.

DEFINITELY go and meet with Thomas - I was so glad I did. He is so fantastic to work with and is truly an artist.

Its fun going through the books and looking at all the designs.

I also agree with Dawnie - you get to tell him any specific pastries you'd like and he'll make sure they are there that day.

You won't be disappointed - their cakes and pastries are incredible.

Good luck and have fun!!!!

We also met with the baker right at Audrey's! And I'm so glad that we did....because FI and I disagreed about the cake...the baker came up with a wonderful idea that made both of us very happy.

It's worth meeting with them!

Re: Question for past Flowerfield/Lands End brides....

yes I met with him...and I was so happy...i had first emailed, but they suggested that I come in...it was really nice to meet him...it personalized the whole experience

i was able to get a unique cake - but for the smae price (he made a 3 tier instead of 4 - and provided a sheet cake) - no one knew any better

also if you go there...my cake will be in his books...since it was the first time he did anything like it
