The NEW British Invasion: Treating Your Guests To An Oh-So English Tradition With A Few Twists
Mar 01, 2017 12:07 PM Back
Even if you don’t host your reception at a golf course, you can still invite your guests to partake in some serious tea time.
Tea leaf bars are a rising trend and here are just some sweet ways to tea off.
1. Place some loose teas in clear jars alongside a decanter of hot water and some strainers and give guests the change to create their own unique brews.
2. Instead of loose teas, think tea bags in mason jars…either for guests to help themselves or you can supply some bags or boxes for guests to generate their very own “goodie” bags. Don’t forget the cookies to accompany the tea.
3. Serve up some inspired varieties of sweet, ice and sun teas at your summer soiree….sure to hit the spot on a hot spring or summer day.
4. Pay a visit to your local vintage (thrift) shop and pick out some pretty vintage tea sets to set out at your tea bar…or (if it’s a relatively small soiree) give them out as gifts along with some nifty gourmet teas.
5. Bring a little south to your celebration with some sensationally spirited tea. Ask your creative cocktail barista to blend together a mix of chamomile tea with whiskey and honey. This signature cocktail is a tearific signature drink that’s sure to please.
6. Tease their taste buds with tea biscuits made with actual tea. Think earl grey cookies , green tea cookies, brown sugar and black tea roll-out cookies, vanilla rooibos tea cookies, Jasmine shortbread sandwiches, Hibiscus tea and poppy seed shortbread, oolong tea meringue, or chai shortbread cookies with sea salt.
